Insurance & Payment
Finding an Option That Works for You
We understand that finding the right therapist also means finding an option that works for you. Our clinicians offer insurance and private-pay options, with session fees varying by provider. Reduced-rate sessions are also available with our student intern.
We're happy to answer questions about insurance coverage, payment options, and estimated costs before your first appointment.
Insurance Plans We Accept
Not all clinicians accept every insurance plan, and coverage may vary for individual, couples, and family therapy. We can help you verify your benefits before your first appointment and discuss any estimated out-of-pocket costs with you.

Getting started is simple! Contact MSF Counseling to inquire about availability and scheduling. We'll help you explore your options and connect with a clinician who may be a good fit for your needs.

Your first session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to get to know one another. You'll discuss what brings you to counseling, your concerns, and what you hope to accomplish. Your therapist will also review confidentiality, answer any questions, and begin exploring goals for your time together. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we want you to feel comfortable moving at your own pace.
-
Counseling sessions typically last 50–60 minutes, although session lengths may vary depending on the type of therapy and your individual needs. Most clients begin with weekly or biweekly appointments, but the frequency of sessions is determined collaboratively with your therapist based on your goals, progress, and availability. As you make progress, sessions may become less frequent.
-
A student counseling intern is a graduate-level counseling student completing supervised clinical training as part of their master's degree program. Student interns provide counseling services under the guidance and supervision of a licensed mental health professional. At MSF Counseling, our student intern offers an affordable opportunity to receive supportive, professional counseling while gaining valuable clinical experience.
